With over 400 companies and 35 market segments, the 2019 Identity Landscape visually depicts a growing and maturing industry. The OWI team selected 415 identity companies from a pool of over 2,000 based on several factors. 

Each company must be an identity company OR have a distinguishable line of business focused on identity.  

Each company must be at least 3 years old or have raised $3 million. 

Each company must have a functioning product in the market.

CommonWell names OneRecord CEO chair of Privacy & Security Committee

CommonWell Health Alliance was founded in 2013 by a handful of health IT companies committed to helping solve the longstanding problem of interoperability in the healthcare industry. Traditionally competitors, these seven companies set aside their differences to focus on this simple vision.

The Alliance now has a diverse mix of member companies, ranging from health care organizations and not-for-profits to EHR companies and data exchange vendors. CommonWell members have deployed CommonWell services in all 50 states, Puerto Rico and Washington, D.C., and thousands of provider sites are utilizing these services daily.

While the vision for ubiquitous health data interoperability is simple, the solution is complex. CommonWell continues to work with its members and service providers as well as industry and government leaders to drive new innovations to make health data more accessible, with the ultimate aim of improving health outcomes.

Jennifer Blumenthal, OneRecord's Co-Founder and CEO, has been named the chair of the Privacy and Security Committee for the Alliance. As the chair, Jennifer will work alongside the other seven leadership committees to advise the Board of Directors on the direction of the Alliance.

CareQuality welcomes OneRecord CEO into Steering Committee

This December, Carequality welcomed new members to the Steering Committee including Jennifer Blumenthal, Co-Founder and CEO of OneRecord, to the Committee as the representative for the Consumer-Facing Technology Developer.

The Steering Committee is responsible for Carequality’s strategic direction, and for the development and oversight of the Carequality Interoperability Framework. The Carequality Interoperability Framework was published in December 2015 and has since been adopted by more than a dozen leading healthcare information networks. Implementing networks have enabled more than 260,000 physicians across 850+ hospitals and 23,000 clinics.

With input from the Carequality Advisory Council and other stakeholders, the Committee manages the work of Carequality, including the adoption of new use cases and settling key decisions regarding our consensus-built Framework.

The CARIN Alliance is a non-partisan, multi-sector alliance co-founded by David Blumenthal, David Brailer, Aneesh Chopra, and Mike Leavitt. The Alliance is led by distinguished risk-bearing providers, payers, consumers, pharmaceutical companies, consumer platform companies, health IT companies, and consumer-advocates who are working collaboratively with other stakeholders in government to overcome barriers in advancing consumer-directed exchange across the U.S.

Football is in full force, the cooler Fall weather is upon us, and some of my favorite people are coming together for the Fall CommonWell Summit and Annual Meeting in Boston this week. Five More Leading Healthcare IT Organizations Adopt Carequality Interoperability Framework

McLEAN, VA. (February 25, 2016) – Carequality, an initiative of The Sequoia Project, today announced five new adopters of the Carequality Interoperability Framework. The companies are Coordinated Care Oklahoma, GE Healthcare, Kno2, Netsmart, and OneRecord.

The organizations join athenahealth®, eClinicalWorks, Epic, NextGen Healthcare and Surescripts in contracting to implement the comprehensive Framework.

Carequality is a multi-stakeholder initiative that has brought together public and private sector players from across the healthcare ecosystem to meet the challenge of connecting disparate data sharing networks and platforms. The Carequality community uses a consensus-based process to develop and implement tools that enable seamless connectivity across all participating networks. The Carequality Interoperability Framework consists of legal terms, policy requirements, technical specifications, and governance processes that together make it possible for healthcare to replicate the success other industries have achieved in breaking down barriers between many networks, programs, and platforms.

“The diversity of organizations – from HIE to consumer access, large to small – adopting the Carequality Framework really highlights our vision for an interoperability framework that unites the entire healthcare continuum,” explained Dave Cassel, director of Carequality. “Enabling patients and providers to access health records from the diverse participants in the Carequality ecosystem is a major step forward, not only for the healthcare experience but also for patient empowerment.”
